The Municipal Act from a Senior Law Clerk’s Perspective

An overview of the Municipal Act with a focus on some of the complexities of the Act we wish we’d understood before working for a municipality. With more than 30 years combined experience working for single, lower, and upper tier municipalities, Zarah (Director of Legal Services for the County of Simcoe) and Karen (Senior Real Estate Law Clerk for the County of Simcoe)  will share their tips and tricks for ensuring municipal transactions are completed with a minimum of fuss and bother including: “Who needs to sign the documents anyway?”; “Why does everything take so long?”; and “Why you really need to care about roads”.
