PROVINCIAL REAL ESTATE EXAM POLICIES

EXAM FORMAT:

All Provincial Examinations are closed book and written with a web-based proctor with the exception of Litigation. The exam will be completed via QuestionMark, an online delivery platform and will be proctored online via Zoom by Examity. An email will be sent to each test taker in advance of the exam date giving them information regarding the exam and instructions on how to access the online exam delivery platform.

REGISTRATION FEE:

The exam fee is $200.00 plus HST. Payment may be made by MasterCard, Visa and AMEX. Please note that fees are not transferable.

Please note: Due to the Covid-19 pandemic registrations with payment by cheque will not be considered complete and processed by ILCO. 

REFUND POLICY:

Through the ILCO Portal, you will have the ability to withdraw from the exam up to 14 days prior to the exam date.

EXAM FORMAT:

The ILCO Provincial exams will be completed via an internet based computer delivery platform.

EXAM CRITERIA:

The exam is scheduled for two and one half (2 ½) hours. The exam is worth 100 marks. The exam will consist of multiple choice, true/false or matching questions, as well as a variety of short answer questions, brief case scenarios and/or calculations. A simple calculator is permitted. Cell phones may not be used as calculators.

EXAM RESULTS:

Student grades will be available on the ILCO Portal within 90 days of the exam date. Students will receive an email from ILCO advising when grades are ready on the online ILCO member portal. Verbal results will not be provided under any circumstance.

ILCO provides a Certificate to students upon successful completion of the four Associate Program Provincial Examinations.

ACCOMODATION REQUESTS:

Requests for exam delivery accommodations due to medical reasons must be submitted before or during the exam ordering process. All requests must include a signed doctor’s note with details of the medical issue and requested accommodation. The date must be within 6 months. Requests for exam delivery accommodations should be sent in no later than 14 days in advance of the exam date.

All requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and evaluated to ensure compliance with competencies and delivery systems capabilities. Acknowledgement of Request will happen within two (2) business days of receipt. Review and response may take up to seven (7) days.

ONLINE EXAMINATIONS:

By choosing to purchase and write this exam, you hereby acknowledge and agree to be bound by all policies of ILCO.

All examinations become the property of ILCO. All examination records are destroyed 1 year after the examination date.

NO RIGHT OF APPEAL

Students writing the provincial or alternate exam will not have the right to appeal their grade. There will not be an opportunity to view your graded exam paper.

RESCHEDULING EXAMS

There is NO OPTION TO RESCHEDULE your exam. All exam days are final.

EDUCATION AWARDS:

If you are an ILCO member and achieve the highest grade on the provincial associate exam(s)** or on any fellowship exams you are eligible to be considered as a possible recipient of ILCO education awards. Members who achieve honours on each of the four provincial exams will receive an honours certificate; both awards are presented at ILCO’s Annual Education Awards. The Annual Awards ceremony is an invite only event held to recognize the outstanding achievements made in the Associate and Fellowship courses.

ALTERNATE PROVINCIAL REAL ESTATE EXAM POLICIES

EXAM FORMAT:

All Provincial Examinations are closed book. The Alternate exam is ONLY available in person at the ILCO office. 

REGISTRATION FEE:

The alternate exam fee is $300.00 plus H.S.T.  Payment may be made by MasterCard, Visa and AMEX. Please note that fees are not transferable.

REFUND POLICY:

Through the ILCO Portal, you will have the ability to withdraw from the exam up to 14 days prior to the exam date subject to a $25.00 administration fee.

EXAM FORMAT:

Alternate exams are written in person at the ILCO Office.
