This course will fully cover all aspects of trademarks at the working level....  including "special marks” (protected, geographical indications, industrial designs, etc.) plus their use in advertising and marketing,  on the social web and also as domain addresses, metatags and key words in advertising via  search engines, and also on social networks. ...together with securing, protecting/defending, and working with both senior management and marketing/brand/sales professionals.   The course will also review the changes being put into place as a result of the recent trade treaties, with an outline of the impact full changes coming when put into force.  At the end of the course, students should be able to fully support and understand their lawyer and/or agent managers on an effect entrant understanding manner, whether taking care of the databases, tickler systems or helping clients understand the processes.
